Tokyo Ghoul fans are finally reunited after three years of the break between the anime’s season 2 and Re.

The Tokyo Ghoul: re’s first episode was released on April 3, 2018, but anime-only watchers wonder where is the protagonist, Kaneki Ken.

Well, it’s not much of a secret or a cliffhanger. In the last episode of the anime’s second season, we see Kaneki carrying Hide through the battlefield.

While doing so, Kaneki meets CCG formidable Reaper, Kishuo Arima, who easily defeats Kaneki.

After his merciless fight, Kaneki loses memory of his former self and suffers from a bout of amnesia.

Kishuo Arima brings Kaneki to CCG and gives him the identity of Haise Sasaki.

So, throughout the season three, we are going to watch Haise struggle with an internal battle with Kaneki
