Netflix treated its fans just in time for Halloween releasing spine-chilling thriller series, The Haunting of Hill House, on October 12. After the end of the first season of the spooky series, fans are surely looking forward when will the season 2 will be released and what it will offer. To your relief, we’ve tracked a few hints about what a potential continuation could look like, but if you’ve not watched the show yet, then video might contain spoilers from season 1.

What to Expect From The Hunting of Hill House?

The Haunting of Hill House is the screen adaptation of the Shirley Jackson’s 1959 novel of the same name. The series revolves around the Crain family, who grew up in the most famous haunted house in the USA. They are forced to face the ghosts from their past after their youngest sister commits suicide. Though father & sister were ghosts in the house, the other Crain family members moved on with their lives. So, there’s actually no cliffhangers for the season 2.

After everything happened, The Haunting of Hill House needs a story to keep the series going. The show hasn’t been renewed yet, but after all the rave of reviews it has gained, the possibility of renewal has increased. If that would be the scenario, they may need some time to come up with a script to work with a brand new story, for season 2.

As per the creator, Mike Flanagan, we probably won’t be seeing the characters from season one again. Mike told Entertainment Weekly,

As far as I’ve ever been concerned with this, the story of the Crain family is told. It’s done.

The Haunting of Hill House is now streaming on Netflix.
