Though ‘American Idol’ polished musician hopefuls to become a famed star, it has also helped other create a stage for themselves.

Let’s take an example of Adam Lambert, who didn’t win the contest, but seemingly created his own platform.

So, Here are the remaining half of the American Idol winners and what they are doing in 2018 

Season 8 winner: Kris Allen (2009)

Kris Allen’s debut album, Kris Allen, was placed eleventh on Billboard 200 chart.

He is set to join the team of America Idols as a special musical guest on July 11, 2018, in American Idol Live! Tour.

Season 9 winner: Lee DeWyze (2010)

On November 2010, Lee released his first album, Live It Up, in collaboration with RCA Records.

He has also recorded the song for some of the famous TV series, including The Walking Dead, Nashville and Shameless.

In may 2018, Lee released the title track video to his latest album, Paranoia.

Season 10 winner: Scotty McCreery (2011)

McCreery is the youngest male winner of ‘American Idol.’ He has released four studio albums and eight music videos to date.

This young prodigy has published a book, Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream, in 2016.

The 2011 Idol winner recently released his 4th studio album, Seasons Change, in March 2018.

Season 11 winner: Phillip Phillips (2012)

Philips’ debut album earned the fourth position on the Billboard 200 chart. He has released three studio albums to date.

He is currently busy with The Magnetic Tour after the release of his third studio album, Collateral, in 2018. 

Season 12 winner: Candice Glover (2013)

In 2014, Candice released her first album, Music Speaks, which was listed among top five in iTunes’ album sales chart.

She appeared in a Broadway musical, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, at the Trustees Theater, at Savannah, GA, on May 25 and 26.

Season 13 winner: Caleb Johnson (2014)

Though Caleb’s debut album didn’t perform well in the market, he is still doing well and recently released his new single, Hanging with the Band.

Caleb has own YouTube channel where he uploads various cover songs and some of his originals as well.

Season 14 winner: Nick Fradiani (2015)

The 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup theme song was decorated with the beautiful voice of Nick Fradiani.

His first album, Hurricane, was released in August 2016 which sold 5,000 copies in its first week. Like Caleb, Nick also has his own YouTube channel.

Season 15 winner: Trent Harmon (2016)

Trent’s debut single, Falling, was able to go as high as the twenty-seventh position on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

The 2016 Idol winner released his first studio album, You Got ‘Em All, on May 18, 2018.
