Vicki Barbolak amused everyone earlier this year with her dark curled hair, wild cats printed dress and her hilarious stand-ups on the America’s Got Talent stage. Vicki appeared in the 13th season of America’s Got Talent as a stand-up comedian and made her journey up to the finals.

Life Before AGT

The California native joined a stand-up comedy class when she was 38 and started doing gigs right after her graduation. After numerous gigs and a few years of open mics, she was appointed by Mitzi Shore, owner of The Comedy Store. Vicki developed as a comedian under the wings of Mitzi Shore and she has been doing stand-ups for more than 20 years now.

She was selected by Bob Reid and Mark Ross, the talent coordinators of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to be a member of Jay Leno’s Laugh Squad at NBC. In 2007, she won the third season of Nickelodeon’s The Search for the Funniest Mom in America, which was hosted by Roseanne Barr.

Following that, she appeared on E! Television as the Next Breakout Star to emerge from The Comedy Store. Before AGT, Vicki was best known as “Trailer Nasty Housewife” for her performances in OC’s Funniest Housewives. Vicki had also made appearances in movies and TV shows like Pickin’ & Grinnin, Call Me Crazy, and Accidentally on Purpose.

Vicki has kept her personal life a secret, however, in an interview with San Diego Magazine, she hinted about her daily life.

Before I always had to be careful about when the kids were going to come home. I thought I would be really sad, but it’s really quite fun. I really like it. I’ve never lived with my current husband Lou alone either, because we’ve always had kids with us. So we really are liking it. It’s fun.

The 60-year-old is currently touring around the country. She will be performing in different Comedy Clubs around Pennsylvania from Nov 29 to Dec 1. She will be also performing gigs in Ohio, California and Texas in the future.
