Katy Perry has topped the list of 2018’s Highest-Paid Female Artists leaving behind Taylor Swift and Beyoncé. Katy released her album fifth album, Witness, in June 2017. The album debuted no.1 on the Billboard 200 chart, but it dropped to no.13 within a week. Selling around 840,000 copies worldwide, she has been able to make $83 million pretax during Forbes’ June-to-June time-frame. If you do the math, Taylor Swift’s Reputation, which was released in November 2017, has sold 4.5 million copies, way more than Katy Perry. You might be wondering about how did Katy make the huge cut?

More of Katy’s earnings are from her concerts more specifically, Witness: The Tour, which ran for 80 dates grossing around $1m a night, as per Forbes. Moreover, she has also collected north of $20 million for her stint as a judge in American Idol reboot. The other reason why neither Taylor Swift nor Beyoncé made it to the top was because their tour dates fell outside this year’s scoring period.
