Seth MacFarlane is an American actor, animator, comedian, writer, producer, director, singer, and songwriter as for his major profession. In the profession line, he is the one who has created the TV series called Family Guy. Beside that he is also the co-creator of the TV series American Dad! (2005–present) and The Cleveland Show (2009–2013). Apart from his outstanding productions, he has also contributed his voice in many of the shows' various characters. Seth MacFarlane is best known for writing animating and producing the hit TV show Family Guy in 1999. Although, it was canceled in 2002, the show was brought back on 2005 because of popular demand. Since then, MacFarlane developed other animated series American Dad! and The Cleveland Show. In 2012, he released his first live-action feature film Ted, and was picked to host the 2013 Oscars.

Seth was born on October 26, 1973 in Kent, Connecticut. He belongs to English, Scottish and Irish descent. His father, Ronald, was a teacher, and his mother, Ann, was an academic administrator. The soon-to-be animator, Seth was drawing beloved cartoons like Woody Woodpecker and Fred Flintstone at the age of two, and inquiring about the mechanics of animation as soon as he could even talk. In many interviews to date, he has been mentioning his love towards animation from his early age. He got his first job at the age of nine and since then he has been publishing his own comic strip in the local Kent newspaper. MacFarlane again continued drawing and animating throughout high school, and then enrolled at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) to study video and animation. Though his career ambitions were initially focused on Disney, MacFarlane caught the attention of Hanna-Barbera Productions with his thesis film, Life of Larry, which contained the beginnings of what would later become Family Guy. Following his graduation in 1995, MacFarlane made the journey west and moved to Los Angeles to begin his career. At Hanna-Barbera, MacFarlane worked as both animator and writer on Johnny Bravo (1997) and Cow and Chicken (1995).

MacFarlane grew up in Kent, Connecticut and is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, where he studied animation, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Recruited to Hollywood during the senior film festival by development executive Ellen Cockrill and President Fred Seibert, he was an animator and writer for Hanna-Barbera for several television shows, including Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Dexter's Laboratory, I Am Weasel, and his own Family Guy-like "prequel", Larry & Steve.

In the acting field, as an actor, he made guest appearances on shows such as Gilmore Girls, The War at Home, and FlashForward. MacFarlane's interest in science fiction and fantasy has led to cameo and guest appearances on Star Trek: Enterprise and voicing the character of Johann Kraus in Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy II: The Golden Army. In 2008, he created his own YouTube series entitled Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy.

As a singer MacFarlane has performed at several venues, including Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. MacFarlane has won several awards for his work on Family Guy, including two Primetime Emmy Awards and an Annie Award. In 2009, he won the Webby Award for Film & Video Person of the Year. He occasionally speaks at universities and colleges throughout the United States, and he is a supporter of gay rights.

His first feature-length comedy film, Ted, stars Mark Wahlberg as an adult who, as a kid, wished his teddy bear would come to life. MacFarlane has voiced and provided motion capture for the bear. It was released on June 29, 2012, and went on to become the highest-grossing original R-rated comedy of all time. In September 2011, MacFarlane released his debut album Music Is Better Than Words. Also in 2011, he began a revival of Hanna-Barbera's The Flintstones for the Fox network. The first episode was due to air in the U.S. in 2013, but production has been indefinitely delayed due to MacFarlane's schedule.

MacFarlane has also served as executive producer of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, an update of the 1980s Carl Sagan-hosted Cosmos series. The new series, hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson, debuted in March 2014. MacFarlane was instrumental in providing funding for the show, as well as securing studio support for it from other entertainment executives. Besides serving as one of the executive producers, MacFarlane also provided voices for characters during the animation portions of the series. From his entire career, he has accumulated total net worth amount of $200 million.

The renowned filmmaker is currently single. But he has created maximum buzz with him being in a relationship with many renowned ladies. He has dated Kat Foster, Eliza Dushku, Amanda Bynes, Kate Todd, Kaylee DeFer, Ashley Greene, Katie Sah, Trisha Cummings, Alexandra Breckenridge and Emilia Clarke. Despite of being in a relationship with so many ladies, he is still single. That’s quite a strange. 

Seth lost his mother on July 16, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. In September 2012, he was reported to be dating Emilia Clarke but meanwhile in March 2013, they had separated from each other.
