Scott Pelley, originally called as Scott Cameron Pelley, is an American Journalist, who is regarded as one of the most well-qualified and proven television journalists. Currently he is contributing as an anchor and managing editor of the CBS Evening News and a correspondent for the CBS news magazine 60 minutes. His date of birth is July 28, 1957. Scott was born in San Antonio, Texas. He moved to and grew up in Lubbock. While he was in Lubbock, he graduated from Coronado High School. His father’s name is John Elmer Pelley Jr. and mother’s name is Wanda Graves Pelley. Scott Pelley and Jane Boone, who once used to work as a correspondent at KXAS in Dallas, Fort Worth, have met for the first time in 1979.Four years later he  tied marital knot with Jane Boone Pelley in 1983. He started his career in Journalism as a copyboy for the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal in Texas at such a tender age of fifteen. As law prohibited working at the tender age of fifteen he lied his real age for which the age of sixteen was legal. After that he worked in a local television –then called KSEL now KAMC holding several positions from 1975 to 1978.
