Linda was born in the year 1959 on November 10 in Long Island New York, USA. When she was a child she uses to watch sports with her dad, who is a huge fan of sports. She turned 15years and her mom encouraged her to play hockey league where she could play with boys. As a teenager, she has enough skill that she was the goalie for the women’s ice hockey team at Newfield High School during her senior year.

She joined at  SUNY Oswego, where she was the goalie for the women’s ice hockey team.  In the year 1981, she was graduated with a bachelor’s degree in arts and communications.  In 2006 she was inducted into the Oswego State Athletics Hall of Fame.

Later graduation, she started working in the part of the radio station WALK-AM by its WALK-FM counterpart. She went New York-based station served as the sports anchor for four years.

Eventually got experience with other radio stations in the area until 1987. The year 1987 she was made the first full-time female sports anchor in the US as she was hired by ABC radio. She hosted a call-in radio sports show in New York year 1989.

In 1992 Linda joined ESPN (Entertainment and Sports Network) and has worked as a SportsCenter anchor. On July 11, 1992, she hosts her first SportsCenter with Chris Myers. She has reported in various of the show’s This is SportsCenter commercials. Linda wasn’t giving her passion for sports toward the TV so she was about to fire in 1994 since the network explained. The company told her to take the classes for improving her television presence for six months.

While a radio interview, she probed her company for their left-wing political preference, at the network had contributed to a lack of subscribers over the year, so her statement caused a suspension. She has since returned to her work, she’s co-hosting the SportsCenter from Los Angeles on weekends with Neil Everett.

Similarly, in 2018 mid-July, Linda signed for the new deal to continue beside the company for years to come which was issued by ESPN. The network’s Executive vice-president Norby Williamson mentions that Linda hosted the SportsCenter for 26years with the network, which anyone else has not done.

Now for the new deal, Linda’s role in hockey coverage will be increased with In The Crease, a program that she was the main host of its conception in the 2016-17 NHL season’s Stanley Cup playoffs, starting to five nights a week for the complete season, even preparing hockey-related interviews and articles for SportsCenter and additional ESPN platforms, and continuing her SportsCenter duties.
