Couric officially started working at Yahoo! in 2014. She was offered a deal of $40 million with an annual salary of $10 million.
Before working in Yahoo!, Katie served at the Washington bureau of CNN as an assignment editor.
Katie’s association with NBC had made global headlines as she was the highest paid TV personality.
Over the years she has managed to work for three of the top news channels in America.
However, Katie’s personal life has not been as smooth as her professional life.
Katie Couric got married for the first time to an NBC legal analyst, Jay Monahan in 1989.
He was diagnosed with colon cancer in 1997 and passed away six months after on January 24, 1998, in Manhattan, New York.
Their eldest daughter, Elinor was 6 and youngest daughter, Caroline was 2 at the time of Jay’s death.
Katie's second relationship was with entrepreneur Brooks Perlin. The couple met at a fundraising event for cancer research in 2006.
She broke up with him after her daughters confessed that they did not like her relationship with Perlin, who is 17 years younger than her.
In 2013, she got engaged to financier John Molner; they got married on June 21, 2014, in a private ceremony with friends and family.
Although she already has two daughters, she said in an interview with Good Housekeeping that she regrets not being able to have more children.
Now, the family of four lives in their $12 million condominium they bought in 2016.
