Current Vice-President of United States Joseph Biden was born on November 20, 1942 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Scranton, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. His born name is Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. His father name is Joseph Robinette Biden and mother name is Catherine Eugenia “Jean” Biden. He is first of four of his catholic family. His sister name is Valerie and brothers are James and Frank. He was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and was brought to Delaware at the age of 10. He attended the Archmere Academy in Claymont, where he was halfback / wide receiver on high school football team. He also played in the Basketball Team. He completed his BA from University of Delaware in Newark and got JD from Syracuse University. They overcame her parents' initial reluctance for her to wed a Roman Catholic, and the ceremony was held in a Catholic church in Skaneateles. They had three children, Joseph R. He clerked for six months at Wilmington law firm headed by prominent local Republican William Prickett. He disliked the conservative racial politics of incumbent Democratic Governor of Delaware Charles L. Terry and supported a more liberal Republican, Russell W. Peterson, who defeated Terry in 1968. The local Republicans tried to recruit Biden, but he resisted due to his distaste for Republican presidential candidate Richard M. Nixon, and registered as Independent instead. Then he practiced law in Wilmington as public defender. Balick named Biden to the Democratic Forum, a group trying to reform and revitalize the state party, and Biden switched his registration to Democratic. Biden also started his own firm, Biden and Walsh. Corporate law, however, did not appeal to him and criminal law did not pay well. He supplemented his income by managing properties. Later in 1969, Biden ran as a Democrat for the New Castle County Council on a liberal platform that included support for public housing in the suburban area.
He is 47th vice president of U.S. He was jointly elected with President Barack Obama and is a member of Democratic Party and was a United States Senator from Delaware from 3 January, 1973 until his resignation on January 15, 2009, following his election to the Vice Presidency. In 2012, Joe was elected to a second term alongside Obama. He became attorney in 1969, and was elected to the New Castle County council in 1970. He became Sixth-Youngest senator in U.S. and was fourth most senior senator at the time of his resignation. Biden unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and 2008, both times dropping out early in the race. Barack Obama selected Biden to be the Democratic Party nominee for Vice President in the 2008 U.S. presidential election. And he is became first Roman Catholic and first Delawarean to become a Vice president of United Status.
