James Raymond Simpson better known by his professional name Jimmi Simpson is an American actor fro the big and small screen and producer. He was born in the year 1975 and celebrates his birthday on November 21 every year.  He is best known for his television work, which includes various roles in series such as It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, House of Cards, Psych, Breakout Kings, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, My Name Is Earl and 24. To add to his big screen credit, his notable work can be seen in Date Night,  Herbie: Fully Loaded , White House Down and Loser.

Talking about his early life, Simpson is a native of Hackettstown, New Jersey, United States of America as he was born and spent most of his early life there. He was welcomed to the family as the youngest of three brothers. He attended Bloomsburg University and graduated from there with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater. During his college he used to work at Nap’s Pizza. Upon graduation, he acted for four seasons at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts.

Simpson met actress Melanie Lynskey on the sets of Rose Red in the year 2001. They clicked instantly and started dating right away. They announced their engagement in 2005 and finally tied the knot on April 14, 2007, in a chapel near Queenstown, New Zealand. However, their marriage had rough patches and they could not mend it. As a result, Lynskey filed for divorce from Simpson on September 25, 2012, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalized on 23 May 2014.
