Is Mark Harmon (Leroy Jethro Gibbs) Leaving NCIS?
American crime procedural television series, NCIS has been a fan-favorite for over one and a half decade.
The show has garnered a huge fan base, and its characters have set special places in viewers’ hearts, but like every other series, it has annoyed fans with sudden cast change.
If you're a fan of the show, be ready! Now, significant changes in the show’s 16th season are highly possible.
While the exit of Abby Sciuto, played by Pauley Perrette, has been confirmed, rumors of Mark’s exit have also been swirling around.
His health concerns are cited as the reason behind the rumors of his exit from the famous crime procedural show.
After staying out of the media limelight for quite some time, Harmon was spotted outside his Los Angeles home earlier this month.
According to Radar Online, the NCIS alum looked quite slim as he lost a ton of weight.
“Mark seemed surprisingly frail. He was struggling with a box marked ‘Meet the Butchers’ to give a delivery driver. He didn’t look well” sources claimed.
Speculations have been around that the 66 years old actor is worried about his health, mainly because his father, Tom Harmon, died of heart attack.
But, his father’s death doesn’t seem to be the sole reason behind the decision to leave the show, where he has been playing the role of Senior Special Agent since the show’s inception.
Insiders claim that NCIS executive producer Gary Glasberg’s death in his sleep at just 50, has also alarmed Harmon.
However, these are just rumors and are yet to be confirmed by the actor himself.
But for now, catch him up at 8 p.m. EST every Tuesday on CBS.
