Who was A$AP Yams? How did he die?
Yams Day 2018 was held on January 18 by A$AP Mob in honor of A$AP Yams.
A concert was held in the New York Expo Center in Bronx which saw the performance of the members of A$AP Mob and other artists.
This has created a curiosity among the younger fans; Who was A$AP Yams?
Born as Jesus Steven Manuel Rodriguez Paulino on November 13, 1988, in Harlem, Yams was a musical artist.
He served as the executive producer for A$AP Mob, the hip-hop group he co-founded in 2006.
He executive produced four albums for A$AP’s members: A$AP Mob’s Lords Never Worry, A$AP Rocky’s Long. Live. ASAP and At. Long. Last. ASAP, and A$AP Ferg’s Trap Lord.
He was found unconscious on January 18, 2015, in his Brooklyn apartment.
He was pronounced dead at Woodhull Medical Center and mixed-drug intoxication was cited as the reason for his death.
However, his friends claim that he suffered sleep apnea which triggered asphyxiation and pulmonary aspiration.
Yams Day 2018 was his third death anniversary and the third annual Yams Fest.
Unfortunately, the show ended early as a fight allegedly broke out between rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine and A$AP Bari and Casanova.
RIP A$AP Yams!
