Greg Vaughan Biography
James Gregory Vaughan, Jr. often known as Greg Vaughan is an American actor and a former fashion icon was born on 15th June, 1973 in Dallas, Texas. Although he was born in Texas he grew up in Mesquite, Texas. He also used to live with his grandparents in Fredericksburg, Texas. The town was in the out corridor of Austin. He used to work in his grandparent’s restaurants after he used to work in the countryside during the summertime.
Greg starred in different soap operas including The Young and Restless and General Hospital. He is regarded as the best role for Lucky Spencer. He played the role from 2003 to 2009. When Greg was 16 he sent in some of his pictures to Back to School modeling competition which he was acknowledged while he was getting a haircut. Though he did not win the competition he got to be selected as a finalist. He got encouraged by the winner of the competition and later he signed up for his career in modeling. After his graduation he was called up in Milan, Italy for modeling. He modeled for Giorgio Armani. He did there for two and a half months. He was then acquainted with Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Tommy Hilfiger and Gianni Versace. He persuaded his modeling career in Miami too but somehow got discontented and came up with a dream to become an actor. His debut appearance was in Baywatch after he moved to LA. After he did for the Aaron Spelling series he then got to feature on Beverly Hills, 90210. He got to be casted regularly and also got the role for the second season of Charmed. He then acted as a role of Diego Guittierez in the drama series The Young and the Restless. He did the major role in the drama forom 2002 to 2003.
Soon after the show had written off he was called up by the producers of General Hospital. The producers were in search of new actor and the role was of Lucky Spencer. Lucky Spencer is son of soap opera couple Luke and Laura. Greg was the first adult actor to have the role of Lucky. Previously the role of Lucky had been played by Jonathan Jackson and Jacob Young. He achieved the role for the spokesperson for I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. The program was held in New York on June 7, 2007 which was organized to replace Fabio. In the year of 2007 he also featured on The Tyra Banks Show. He appeared in order to assist Tyra Banks from Soap Opera School. Greg then decided to leave General Hospital and end the role of Lucky Spencer. He gave his last appearance on 20th October alongside Jonathan Jackson. He also appeared in some action television series like Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Mortal Kombat which was shown in the year 1997 and 1998. He did almost 18 episode in the television series Charmed which was from 1990 to 2000 and did the role of Dan Gordon. In the year 2013 during the month of July he got the chance to play in Second Chances which was a Hallmark Original Movie with Alison Sweeney. Sweeney is the co-star of Days. Sweeney and Greg then later played together in Days of Our Lives as siblings.
Greg married Touriya Haoud. Haoud is a Dutch actress as well as a model. The couple tied the knot on 4th June 2006. They have got three children whom all are sons, Jathan James born on 4th May 2007, Cavan Thomas born on 19th June 2010 and Landan Reid who was born on 6th March, 2012. The couple decided to live separately which they announced on 14th April, 2014. The couple had been married for 9 years.
