Born Erica Ruth Hill and popularly known as Erica Hill, is an American news personality and journalist. She was born in the year 1976 and celebrates her birthday on 20th of July every year.  Currently, she works for the NBC Channel as a co-anchor of popular NBC program, NBC Weekend Today and also serves as a national correspondent for the channel. She is also known for programs such as Prime News Tonight and Anderson Cooper 360° for CNN and CBS Evening News and The Early Show for CBS.  

She is a native of Clinton, Connecticut, United States as she was born and spent her early childhood there. Her mother was Cheryl Hill and she was welcomed to the family as the youngest daughter. She completed her high school education from a local high school. Then, she attended Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from there with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Journalism in the year 1998. During her college, she was a member of the college sorority Epsilon Phi.

She started her career in journalism after she got graduated. Her first real work was as a production assistant for PC Week Radio which was an online news program published in PC Week magazine. During that time, she also served as the coordinator at Software Publishers Association Europe. Then, in 2000, she started working at Tech TV which is now known as Tech Live as a reporter, anchor and correspondent as well. She started getting wide recognition as she covered the 9/11 terrorist attack in 2001 for the channel. She kept her job there for three years until 2003 and moved to CNN’s Headline News Channel the same year as a news anchor. Just a year later, she was promoted to work as a national correspondent for CNN Newsource. She co-anchored Prime News Tonight for a year, starting from 2005 and in 2006 she served as the host of the program Prime News with Erica Hill.  She also provided the latest news updates for Anderson Cooper 360°. In February 2008, she became permanent member of AC360°. The same year, Hill worked for CBS in a temporary basis for six months and as a news co- anchor  of Saturday Edition  of The Early Show. She also worked as the co-anchor of CNN tonight. She worked at CBS until January, 2010. On leaving CNN, she joined CBS news, this time permanently, She replaced Russ Mitchell  as the host of The Early Show on 18 January, 2011. She covered and anchored CBS Evening News on October 4, 2011. She co-anchored CBS News morning program and CBS This Morning alongside Charlie Rose and Gayle King in January 2012 but was replaced by Norah O'Donnel in 2012. After leaving CBS, Hill became co-anchor of NBC Weekend Today and also served as a national correspondent for NBC News.

About her personal life, she is married to David Yount. She stayed his girlfriend for a few years before tying the knot on October 15, 2005. She has two children with him. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, Weston Robert on November 25, 2006. Their second son, Sawyer Steven Yount was born on March 23, 2010. She probably receives a handsome salary for her good work but it is yet to be disclosed like her net worth.
