Courtney Hadwin won a golden buzzer from Howie Mandel on America’s Got Talent 2018 and finished sixth in the competition. Soon after AGT, the rumor of her signing a record deal with Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment swirled around the web.

More recently, the rumor has been confirmed by the label, and Courtney also took to Twitter to share the big news with a picture of her signing a record deal. Simon said he is “really excited” about the future of this “amazing artist. He shared,

I will never forget her first audition on the show this year, and now we have the opportunity to work with her alongside Arista – it’s fantastic.

Courtney has signed with Syco and Arista Records, both owned by Sony Music. Talking about the record deal, Courtney said, 

It feels amazing to be joining Syco and I am super excited and feel so lucky. I’ve always wanted to work on original songs and to be able to do that with the support of Syco while staying true to myself and the music I like is a dream come true. I can’t thank them enough for giving me this chance.

Currently, she is set to appear on NBC’s America’s Got Talent: The Champions, which is set to air on January 7, 2019. She will compete with 49 other fan-favorite acts from international versions of AGT franchise.

As of now, she is in the studio working on new music, which is due to be released in 2019. That means, we can expect a lot of Courtney in the upcoming year.
