The moment of truth is here! Chevel Shepherd has won The Voice season 15 making it the second consecutive win for Kelly Clarkson. Team Blake’s Chris Kroeze and Kirk Jay finished second and third, and Team Kelly’s Kennedy Holmes finished up fourth in the line-up.

Chevel Shepherd’s Short Bio

Chevel wowed the coaches and tempted all four to turn the rotating chair during the Blind Auditions with the performance on The Band Perry’s If I Die Young. Born on June 18, 2002, she was born and raised in New Mexico and currently resides in a small town called Farmington. She is a junior at Farmington High School.

Following the footsteps of her mom and sister, The 4’ 10” tall singer got into music when she was just two years old. On her personal website, she wrote,

I’ve been singing my whole life. I started taking every opportunity I could get. I started singing on the radio when I was 8, made a mini CD when I was 9, and took every gig I could get.

She auditioned for season 13, but couldn’t enlist her name as the teams were already full, Parade reports. She got a second opportunity after producers contacted her before this season with an offer to perform during the Blind Auditions.

Kelly had consoled Chevel that she shouldn’t take her standing on the elimination show to mean she’s in the last place in the voter’s hearts. And here she is now!

Congratulations Chevel!
