Carole Radziwill | Biography
The beautiful and talented Carole Radziwill is an American journalist and author. She was born on August 20, 1963 in an Italian American family. She was raised by in suburban Rockland County in New York. She loved to enjoy her summer holidays with her Italian grandparents. She is from a working class family background.
Talking about her education, she attended Hunter College and completed Bachelor’s degree of Arts. She went on to earn an MBA from New York University. She remained as finalist for the John C. Knight fellowship at Stanford University too
Carole began her career at the age of 24 with an unpaid internship at ABC News at New York in the year 1986. She worked in the post production for ABC’s news magazine show 20/20. Soon she got a job as production secretary for the show “Close Up”. Eventually she landed up being a member of Peter Jennings’s documentary unit. The show featured the stories on abortion and gun control, and storied on foreign policy. It included the news from Cambodia, Haiti and India too. She worked for Jennings for six years. In 1991, she was stationed in Israel for six weeks reporting the SCUD missile attack during the Gulf War.
Carole dated her co-worker, ABC News producer Anthony Radziwill for two years and tied the knot with her boyfriend on August 24, 1994. Anthony was a nephew of President John F. Kennedy and the only son of Prince Stanislas Radziwill of Poland. He was close to his cousin John F. Kennedy Jr. family. They had no children. Unfortunately her husband died five years after their wedding on August 10, 1999 battling cancer for five years. He had several surgeries first being just before their marriage but couldn’t withstand the battle against the fate. Bereaved Carole sold her apartment and left the job at ABC.
Carole began to write down her memories about her childhood, her days at ABC, meeting her husband their relation with Kennedy and his battle against sarcoma in the form of memoir. The autobiography entitled What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship and Love was published by Scribner Publishing in 2005. The book was listed in New York Times Best Seller. She made her recognition as an author and appeared for interview on famous television shows like Oprah Winfrey, Good Morning America, Charle Rose & Carry King Live. Meanwhile, she also covered the United States invasion of Afganisthan in 2003, stationed with the 101st Airborne Division in Kandahar for six weeks. She produced the segments for ABC TV show “Profiles from the Frontline”. She has won several awards including three Emmys and a Peabody for her contribution in journalism. Moving forward in her writing career she has written her novel “the Windows Guide to Sex & Dating”. The noel was sold to Holt Publishing with a six figure deal. It is scheduled to release in November this year. And the TV series adaptation of the novel is said to be premiered in 2014.
At present beginning in 2006 she is writing a monthly column called “Lunch Date” for Glamour Magazine. She is the Honorary Board Member at Sarcoma Research which helps sarcoma patients as well as conducts research programs. She also appeared on the reality show The Real Housewives of New York Season 5 in 2012. She had lots of fun during the show. Dating her boyfriend Aerosmith keyboardist Russ Irwin and celebrating F. Scott Fitzgerland birthday were the highlights.
She is fifty years old. She hasn’t remarried yet. She looks no less hot than other stars. She has dated George Clooney in the recent past. So we can say that she is a “single but ready to mingle” lady at present. She is enjoying her personal as well as professional life in New York City.
