Bonnie Bernstein Biography
Bonnie Bernstein was born on August 16, 1970. She is an American national who is involved in the field of sports where she shows her journalism skill and is also one of the executive currently working. Among other sportscaster, she is one of the successful women sportscaster in the whole world. The American Sportscaster Association has named her one of the female sportscaster having a great name in sports journalism. Apart from her journalism profession she is also the Vice President of the Content and Brand Development of the Campus Insiders. She is also associated with the on air programme Face and executes programs. Some of her work as a freelancer is broadcasted in The Dan Patrick Show, DirecTV and ESPN. She has also given her professionalism in the commentary position serving as a guest in different programs telecasted in television networks like FOX News Channel, NBC and MSNBC. Although she was born in Brooklyn she grew up in New Jersey. She went to Howell High School having a good reputation and later attended University of Maryland. She was not only a bright pupil but also an enthusiastic athlete during her year in the University. She graduated from the University in broadcast journalism
Bernstein’s strong education background helped a lot in her career. Her career started off when she was appointed as the news along with the sports at WXJN-FM radio. it was situated in Lewes, Delaware and she was given the post of the director at that time. She then transferred to the television at WMDT-TV which was in Salisbury, Maryland. She was also associated with the NBC where she used to work in the weekends. She was the first ever female to become the Reno, Nevada’s sports anchor at KRNV-TV which was broadcasted at the weekday. At that time, KRNV-TV was affiliated to NBC. Bonnie then joined ESPN during the year of 1995 as the Chicago Bureau Chief where she announced the Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bull’s championship from 1996-1998. The championship was a record setting account. She was also appointed as the correspondant fot the Sunday NFL Countdown and also for the College GameDay. She had also done a report during Major League Baseball post-season for the Sportscenter and also for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship. She is an amazing sportscaster as most of the people viewing her are attracted and also raised dating and marriage proposals. In 1998 she joined CBS Sports and was the lead sideline reporter to report the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship. She worked with different other experienced hosts, sportscasters and announcer. Till date she is regarded as one of the enthusiastic journalist in the field of sportscasting. There was a slight feud among Bernstein and the coach of The University of Kansas basketball coach Roy Williams. It was said that Bernstein asked inappropriate questions to William which he answered in a disrupted way. Later William apologized making Bernstein’s professionalism as strong as it was. Again she joined ESPN in 2006 after she left CBS in July. She worked as a field reporter on ESPN for the Sunday Night baseball. In her radio hosting career she was provided with her own show New York Football Live which used to be broadcasted on daily basis.
