Tommy Mottola was born 14th July, 1949. He is an American music executive, record producer and television producer. Currently, he co-owns the Casablanca Records which is a joint venture with the Universal Music Group. He served as the head of Columbia label’s parent company Sony Music Entertainment for nearly 15 years. He has worked many global stars like Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, Marc Anthony, Mariah Carey and Beyoncé, among others. He has a memoir, The Last Startmaker.
He was born in The Bronx, New York City, United States as Thomas Daniel Mottola and spent most of his childhood in his hometown. He has an American nationality. He was a member of the middle class Italian family. He was sent to military school for a brief time. On finishing up with high school, he went to Hofstra University, Long Island.
