Sung Kang (Kang Sung-Ho) is an American actor for the big and small screen, producer and writer. He celebrates his birthday every year on April 8, and was born in the year 1972. He shot to fame for portraying the character Han Seoul-Oh on the blockbuster The Fast and the Furious film franchise. He is also known for his role in the movie Better Luck Tomorrow. Since 2013, he is portraying the role of Tae Kim on the series Gang Related.

He is a native of Gainesville, Georgia, United States of America as he was born and raised there. He was born to parents who were South Korean immigrants. Although he has South Korean descent, he is an American by nationality. Besides that, there is not much information on how he was raised, his childhood and early life. Similarly, there is little or no information about his educational background.

Kang’s first major role came with the movie Better Luck Tomorrow.  He portrayed the role of aloof gang member called Han in the film. The he was cast as one of the stars playing the role of Sam Kim in the film The Motel. His breakthrough role came as he was cast in the movie The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift as Han. He reprised his role for other movies of the franchise including Fast & Furious, Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6. He was cast as Doran, a son of Genghis Khan in the film Forbidden Warrior and played an FBI agent in Jet Li’s movie War. He was also cast in the recurring role of the narcissistic President Gin Kew Yun Chun Yew Nee in the Korean drama parody, Tae Do (Attitudes and Feelings, Both Desirable and Sometimes Secretive) by MADtv. He also appeared in the 2013 movie Live Free or Die Hard and as Detective Taylor Kwon in the film Bullet to the Head starring Sylvester Stallone. He has also been featured on a music video for the song Lie by the Korean band g.o.d.. His television credits include Martial Law, Monk, CSi, Knight Rider, Samurai Girl, CSI: Miami, Cold Case, Without a Trace, Threat Matrix, Spin City and many others. Besides his acting career, Han had also invested in a restaurant named Saketini in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California. But unfortunately, the restaurant closed in early 2013.
