Scott Steiner nicknamed for Scott Carl Rechsteiner is an American professional wrestler. 53 years old by age Scott has been best known by his ring name rather than his own name. An american nationality holder, Scott stands 6 and half feet in height. Although his education background is still missing,to date he has wrestled in World Championship Wrestling alongside his older brother Rick as The Steiner Brothers and as a member of the New World Order (nWo). Beside that he has also wrestled for Jim Crockett Promotions, the World Wrestling Federation / Entertainment and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Additional to his work, Steiner is also a successful tag team wrestler, as a twelve time World Tag Team Champion (seven times in World Championship Wrestling, twice in the World Wrestling Federation and twice in New Japan Pro Wrestling with Rick and once in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling with Booker T). To date his net worth has not been disclosed in public but he is one of the highest paid wrestler in wrestling. In an interview he had mentioned an incident which he had faced and was devastating but still didn't choose to look back.

Scott was born on July 29, 1962 in Bay City, Michigan. Before he turned his career to wrestling, he was an amateur wrestler. When he wrestled at 190 lbs for the University of Michigan, he got chance to become a three time Big 10 runner-up, after finishing fifth as a freshmen. Later in 1986, he became an NCAA Division I All American and placed sixth in the nation his senior year.

Before Rechsteiner entered in professional wrestling, he had been training under Dr. Jerry Graham Jr. at Torio’s Health Club in Toledo, Ohio. He had debuted under his real name in the Toledo-based World Wrestling Association in 1986. On August 14, 1986, in Dearborn, Michigan, Rechsteiner defeated The Great Wojo for the WWA World Heavyweight Championship. He held the title until May 3, 1987, when he lost it back to Wojo in Toledo. He then formed a tag team with his trainer, Graham. On October 6, 1987, they defeated Chris Carter and Mohammad Saad for the WWA World Tag Team Championship. On December 6, they lost the title to Carter and Don Kent.

Later after 2  years of duration, in 1988 he joined the  Memphis-based Continental Wrestling Association under his real name. Then he also formed a tag team with Billy Joe Travis, and defeated the Cuban Choir Boys for the CWA World Tag Team Championship on May 29. On June 6, they lost the title to Gary Young and Don Bass. Rechsteiner and Travis regained the title on June 27, and lost it to The Rock 'n' Roll RPMs (Mike Davis and Tommy Lane) on August 15. Rechsteiner formed a new tag team with Jed Grundy, and on February 18, 1989, they dethroned CWA World Tag Team Champions Robert Fuller and Jimmy Golden. Rechsteiner's third and final CWA reign ended on February 25, when Fuller and Golden regained the title. He left the CWA soon after.

Scott has been a legend in professional wrestling field for more than 15 years. Although, he had started his passion as a single wrestler and by wrestling in some smaller federations before coming to the NWA (WCW). The two brothers wreaked havoc on anyone who dared get in the ring with them. Known for their amazing wrestling arsenal of suplexes, the two won the WCW tag team titles on many occasions throughout a ten year time period. Steiner, especially, bacame well-schooled in the art of the suplex, as he would use many varieties of this devastating wrestling move to render his foes senseless. He has been known for inventing the Frankensteiner, a wrestling move that involves jumping up onto your opponents shoulders from their front, letting your body fall upside-down so you head is between their legs, and then using your stomach and leg muscles to power them forward onto the mat. This move was perfected by Steiner, who could perform the maneuver from a standing position, while his opponent was running at him, or to an opponent sitting on the top rope.

There is a huge ups and down during his career as a wrestler. Beside  that he has been appeared in the television program Charmed on February 1, 2001. In the show he had played the role of Mega Man in the episode Wrestling With Demons. Beside that he has also appeared in the Disney Channel program called The Jersey as himself.

The renowned wrestler is married man. He got married to the beautiful lady named Christa Podsedly in the year 2000. Since the date of getting marriage, the couple has been spending luxurious moment with each other. There is no news published about couple going through divorce. 

On June 3, 2007, at a TNA house show in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Rechsteiner was kicked in the throat by his opponent, Apolo. After he began coughing up blood, he was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he was diagnosed with a torn trachea and given five hours to live. He was put in an induced coma for two days, while doctors cut through his ribs and lung to repair the tear, then began draining fluid from his lungs. The event had been devastating to his career to date.
