Pat Healy is an American mixed martial artist who mostly competes in the Lightweight dividion and also is Welterweight. He was born on the 20th of July 1983. He has currently signed for the UFc after he accomplished 6-1 run in the Strikeforce. He was the Maximum Fighting Championship Welterweight Championship before he signed for the Strikeforce. He had also competed in the IFL, WEC, Shark Fights and also the King of the Cage. He is the twin brother of Ryan healy. Ryan is also a fighter. Healy was born in Salem, Oregon where he was raised. He and his brothers got involved in mixed martial arts when they were 14. He also used to wrestle from his childhood and was also in the state finals of South Salem High School. He attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville where he competed in collegiate wrestling which was the organized program of Division II program.

He had signed for the World Extreme Cagefighting. At that time had had a record of 9-6. He had a debut in WEC 15 against UFC veteran, Chris Lytle. Lytle was the Cage Rage World Welterweight Champion. The competition ended with a result of loss to Healy. He did not fight for a year but got the achievement of four titles where he completed his five fights and also won UFC and Strikeforce Veteran Paul Daley. He won the match through guillotine choke submission. After the match he then returned to WEC at WEC 19 against Tiki Ghosn who was also a veteran in UFC. He then won another next four fights including the match against Carlos Condit who was UFC Interim Welterweight Champio he won the match through rear-naked choke submission

In the year of 2006 he was assigned to fight Anthony Torres at the UFC Fight Naked 6. Torres was the veteran of The Ultimate Fighter. The match ended in the midway as Healy was brought and controlled on the ground and also had rear-naked choke submission. The match ended through the round one. He then competed for the Nevada Lions as he had signed with the International Fight League. The match was organized on the 19th of January in the year of 2007 which was in Oakland, California. Healy won the match. His next appearance made him lose as he faced Rory Markham who was associated with Miletich Fighting Systems and also a UFC veteran.

He was titled as the number one contender when he signed with Maximum Fighting Championships which was for the MFC Welterweight Title. He won the fight which was against Ryan Ford who was then champion. There was a rematch between Ford and Healy and the result was as same before. He won the match before he signed for the Shark Fights. He had also signed for the Welterweight Championship but he lost to UFC veteran TJ Waldburger. He then regained his title after he signed for the Strikeforce. His Strikeforce debut was in the year of 2010 in the month of May where he won the match which was against Bryan Travers who was former Heavyweight fighter. He also had a match with the former Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Josh Thompson. The result was as not expected as he lost the match through rear-naked choke submission. He lost the match in the third round.

He made a return in the UFC where he had to face Jim Miller on the 27th of April in the year of 2013 at the UFC 159. He won the match through technical submission which was from rear-naked choke submission. The match ended in the third round. He had been suspended for 90 days where he failed drug test and was found possessing marijuana. He is likely to face Gleison Tibau on the 16th of July, 2014 at the UFC Fight Night 45.
