Lance Henriksen is an American actor for the big and small screen, voice actor and artist. He was born in the year 1940 and celebrates his birthday on 5th of May every year. He is best known to film audiences for his roles in science fiction, action, and horror films such as the Alien film franchise, and the television audiences know him for his role in television shows such as Millennium. He is also a voice actor and has a deep commanding voice.

Henriksen is a native of New York City, New York, United States of America as he was born and spent most of his early life there. His father, James Marin Henriksen, was a Norwegian merchant sailor and boxer nicknamed "Icewater" and spent most of his life at sea and his mother, Margueritte Werner, worked as a dance instructor, waitress, and model. After his parents divorced, when he was just two years old, he was raised by his mother. As he grew up, he found himself in trouble at various schools and was even in a children's home. He left home and subsequently dropped out of school at the age of twelve and did not learn to read until he was 30, when he taught himself by studying film scripts. From 1955 to 1958, he served in the United States Navy and even attained the rank of Petty Officer Third Class

He started working at the theater as a designer of theatrical sets. Only in his early 30s, he graduated from the prestigious Actors Studio and started acting in New York City. His first film appearance was in It Ain't Easy in 1972 and went on to play a variety of supporting roles. Perhaps best known for portraying the android Bishop, an artificial life-form, in Aliens (1986) and Alien 3 (1992), he went on to play Charles Bishop Weyland, in Alien vs. Predator (2004). Henriksen portrayed gunfighters in westerns Dead Man and The Quick And The Dead and appeared alongside British actor Bruce Payne in Aurora: Operation Intercept in 1995. In the year 1996, Henriksen starred in the TV series Millennium, where he played Frank Black, a former FBI agent who possessed a unique ability to see into the minds of killers. His performances on Millennium earned him critical acclaim, a People's Choice Award nomination for Favorite New Male TV Star, and three consecutive Golden Globe nominations for Best Performance by an Actor in a TV Series from 1997 to 1999. The series was cancelled in 1999. Henriksen has also appeared in the ensemble of Into the West (2005), and in a Brazilian soap opera, Caminhos do Coração (Ways of the Heart) from Rede Record. Henriksen guest-starred on a Season 6 episode of NCIS (2009) playing an Arizona sheriff. As a voice actor, Henriksen lend his voice to a number of animated features and video game titles such as Disney's Tarzan (1999), alien supervillain Brainiac in Superman: Brainiac Attacks (2006), Mulciber in Godkiller for HALO 8 Entertainment in 2009, Molov in the video game Red Faction II (2002), GUN (2005), Run Like Hell (2002), and BioWare's role-playing game Mass Effect (2007) as Admiral Hackett of the Human Systems Alliance.

Lance married film Mary Jane Evans in the year 1985. They were together for just four years until they separated with a divorce in 1989. The couple has a child, Alcamy Henriksen, born in 1987. Then he tied the knot with Jane Pollack in 1995. He has a daughter Sage Ariel Henriksen (born 1999) with her. He divorced in 2006. The talented actor and artist has a dynamic personality.
