Dylan J. Neal is a Canadian actor for the big and small screen. He was born in the year 1969 and celebrates his birthday on October 8, every year. He is known for his portrayal of Dylan Shaw on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, Detective Mike Celluci in the supernatural series Blood Ties, and Doug Witter on Dawson's Creek. He is also known for his role of Aaron Jacobs on Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. He holds dual citizenship in Canada and the United States. Currently, he stars in the Hallmark Channel's first ever scripted TV series, Cedar Cove, based upon the series of books written by Debbie Macomber of the same name.
Dylan is a native of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, as he was born and spent most of his early life there. When he was just six months old, his family moved to Oakville, Ontario. He went to Appleby College in Oakville, and initially aspired to become a professional squash player. He enrolled at Blakelock High School in Oakville for his last two years of schooling. It was there that his passion for the performing arts emerged. He and participated in his school's drama program and upon the advice of his drama teacher, he decided that pursue professional acting career. Dylan used to work as a caterer and delivered lunch baskets to private businesses in industrial areas around Toronto, before becoming an actor.
In 1992, he moved to Los Angeles where his career quickly took off. Neal started getting known as an actor after finishing his work on soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. He had landed the role in 1994 and played it for two years until 1996. In 2007, his popularity among the sci-fi/fantasy genre fan base heightened after taking on the role of Detective Mike Celluci in Lifetime's Canadian vampire fantasy show, Blood Ties, starring alongside Christina Cox and Kyle Schmid. Neal currently plays the male lead role of Jack Griffith, a Philadelphia reporter, opposite Andie MacDowell in the Hallmark Channel television series, Cedar Cove. In addition to that, he recently completed filming on the highly anticipated film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey cast as Bob Adams, which is all set to release on Valentine's Day, 2015.
