David Giuntoli nicknamed for David C. Giuntoli is an American film actor. He is best known for his one of the most remarkable and obviously non-forgettable lead role of Detective Nick Burkhardt in the NBC drama named “Grimm”. Born in Milwaukee, David has Italian ascent.

Talking about his early life before he entered in Hollywood and earned huge fame, David was born on June 18, 1980 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Mary and David Giuntoli, of Italian descent. As a result he has Italian descent as well. He was raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He has been known by his nick name Dave among his loved ones. He proudly admits to be very athletic in his childhood. He has also stated a statement about himself in an Access Hollywood interview which says, "I was like three feet shorter than I am now until I was a sophomore in high school. But I had the same sized head and ass as I do now. I was an awkward little fellow. In high school I started gravitating a little toward acting."
For his academic qualification, he was educated at St. Louis University High School and later he moved on to Indiana University Bloomington, from which he completed his Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Finance in 2002. After completing his graduation, he returned to St. Louis College. He has always got an entertaining heart rather than serious on making career in finance. His family has been very supportive to hi from very early. They had realized the happiness in his face which he used to earn from making people laugh. He has been fond of making people around him making laugh from his young age.
When he finally moved to St. Louis College, there he reconnected with high school theatre teacher, and began taking acting lessons locally. For one year he was being under tutition of his theatre teacher and finally in 2003 his first career break came, when he was discovered by talents scouts for MTV and casted in the networks reality series called “Road Rules: South Pacific”. After his three months of investment in the South Pacific, and a subsequent appearance on the seventh season of Real World/ Road Rules Challenge provided the resources to pay off his all college debt and further cemented his decision to pursue acting as a full-time career. Later in 2007, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in acting field. There he got chance to study under director and acting teacher Chris Fields before joining the Echo Theatre Company.
Afterwards he was seen in a long series of guest appearances on various TV series and TV movies followed, including Nip/Tuck, Veronica Mars, Grey's Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer, Privileged, Without a Trace, and Cold Case among others. During his acting career, he was also considered for the title role of the re-launched Superman movie Man of Steel, but was beaten out by English actor Henry Cavill. To date, his biggest role in TV is the series Grimm, which was premiered in October, 2011. In addition to his work on Grimm, he was also seen in 2012 in the motion picture Caroline and Jackie in the supporting role.
