Christine Ann Lahti, who was born on the 4th of April in the year of 1950 is a renowned American actress. She has also received the Academy Award, an Emmy Award and also got the Golden Globe Awards for her act. She was born in Birmingham, Michigan. She is the daughter of Elizabeth Margaret who was a painter, a homemaker and also a nurse and Paul Theodore Lahti who was a surgeon. Her paternal grandparents had the Finnish nationality and were later the immigrants of the United States. She then studied fine arts from the Florida State University and also achieved her bachelor’s degree in the drama faculty from the University of Michigan. In her university times she also joined the Delta Gamma sorority.

She started her career when she finished her college and went to New York City. She did some of the commercials and also worked as a waitress in a restaurant. His first movie was And Justice For All which was released in the year 1979. The movie also featured Al Pacino. During the time of early 70’s and the 80’s she got to be featured in different new movies and also in several television shows. She also gave some time on the television shows where she began screening for the adaptation of The Executioner’s Song. The show was telecasted in the year of 1982. She has also featured in the play of the Broadway which was produced by Wendy Wasserstein. The play was titled The Heidi Chronicles. In the year of 1984 she didi a movie which was titled Swing Swift for which she was nominated for the Best Supporting Actress. She did Lieberman in Love which was in the year of 1984. She got the Academy award for the category of Short Film, Live Action. She starred in the movie and directed it as well. The adaptation was from the short story written by W. P Kinsella. She also got the Primetime Emmy Award in 1998. She also got the Golden Globe Award in the same year. The award was given for the role which she did in Chicago Hope. She played Leelee Sobieski along with Albert Brooks in the movie My First Mister in the year 2001. The movie was her first directorial debut. The movie was rated R as it contained some abusive language.

She also did the executive role for the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She did the role of Sonya Paxton. She did the first four shows from the 11th season. She then directly came for the 8th season. She then guest starred in the ninth as well as the seventeenth episode for the 12th episode. Her character as Sonya Paxton was murdered in the 17th episode.  She then returned to the Broadway where she did God of Carnage and also won the Tony Award.
