José Antonio Domínguez Banderas simply known as Antonio Banderas is a Spanish film director, actor, producer and singer. He was born on August 10, 1960. He started his acting career with films by the director Pedro Almodovar. He later appeared in many high-profile movies in Hollywood especially during the 1990s. He has acted in movies like Assassins, Interview with the Vampire, The Mask of Zorro, Philadelphia, Spy Kids, Desperado and many others. As a voice artist, he gave his voice to the character Puss in the movie Puss in Boots and the Shrek sequel.

Antonio was born in BenalmádenaMálagaAndalucíaSpain and is a Spanish by nationality. His mother, Ana Banderas, was a school teacher and his father, José Domínguez, was a police officer for the Guardia Civil. He has a younger brother named Javier.
