Atika Shubert is an award winning American news personality and journalist. Currently, she works for the CNN network as a correspondent and is located in their London bureau since the year 2008.  She has served CNN with her extensive coverage and reporting from Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

She is a native of Jakarta, Indonesia as she was born and spent her early childhood there. She has Indonesian ethnicity and can speak both Bhasa Indonesia and English. She probably has an Indonesian nationality as well. She completed her high school education from Jakarta International School in the year 1991. Then, she attended Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. She graduated from there in 1995 with a Bachelors degree in Economics.

She started her career in journalism while she was still in Jakarta. Her career with CNN begun as she started working as a producer in Jakarta, Indonesia covering the fall of the Indonesian President Shuharto in 1998. Her other important coverage there include East Timor’s transition to independence in 1999, the 2002 Bali bombings. In addition to that, she interviewed Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid in 2001 just before his impeachment. She has also covered stories out of the Philippines and Singapore, including an interview with former President of the Philippines Josef Estrada in the midst of his corruption trial. She actively covered the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami that killed more than 200 thousand from Aceh, Indonesia and her reports helped CNN earn the prestigious Alfred I. Dupont-Columbia Award in 2005. Then she was based in Tokyo, Japan where she covered the controversial deployment of the country’s Self Defense Forces to Iraq, North Korea’s 2006 testing of nuclear weapons and interviewed newly elected Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. After Japan, she was posted in Jerusalem where she reported on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict which included coverage of Israeli and Palestinian peace negotiations, Palestinian militant rocket attacks into Israeli towns as well as fighting between Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah within Gaza. Then, she was based in London and has reported extensively on the 2011 riots that shook England, and the British phone-hacking scandal that embroiled media mogul, Rupert Murdoch. Her other important coverage includes the Wikileaks scandal, the largest leak of classified US government documents in US history,  Wikileaks’ Afghan War Diary – the leak of more than 70 thousand classified US military logs from the frontline in Afghanistan and an exclusive interview with Wikileaks’ Founder and Editor Julian Assange.

Atika prefers to keep her personal life away from the scrutiny of the media. She has not yet revealed any of her past relationships. Also it is hard to know if she has been dating anyone or has a boyfriend. Whether she is married or had a divorce is also not known. She became pregnant and has a son whom she gave birth to in 2009. The father of the child has stayed unidentified which might be her husband or a boyfriend. When it comes to her private life she likes to stay tight lipped about it.

Shubert is yet to reveal her exact body measurements but from the looks of it, she has been blessed with a naturally fit body and has maintained it the same way for long. She seems to have an average height and looks much younger than her age. She barely shows off her body, maybe because of her religion but still manages to look pretty hot in whatever she wears for screen.
