Los Angeles Trade–Technical College (LATTC) is a public community college situated in Los Angeles, California, United States. It was founded in 1925 as the Frank Wiggins Trade School and is the oldest of the nine, public two-year colleges in the Los Angeles Community College District.  It became Trade-Technical Junior College in 1954. Los Angeles Trade-Tech College is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, The American Culinary Federation and the National League of Nursing among others. It offers academic courses towards 4 year colleges and over 65 programs for graduating with an Associates Degree or a Certificate of Completion in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Culinary Arts, Cosmetology, Automotive Technology, Construction Technology, Nursing, Sign Graphics, Welding and Chemical Technology.

Los Angeles Trade-Technical College offers many certificate, degree, and transfer-related courses and programs. Many certificate and degree programs are available within each department and discipline at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College.  Associate in Arts (AA) and Associate in Science (AS) degree programs are composed of three parts – general  education, a major or an area of emphasis, and an  additional graduation requirements or electives. It also provides Certificate of Achievement , issued in State-approved programs designed for students who are looking for instruction with a high degree of specialization. The college also offers a number of Skills or other short-term Certificate programs. Noncredit programs are an organized sequence of two or more courses leading to a defined objective, certificate, a diploma, or license.  Noncredit programs at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College generally fall into these two program areas – career development and college preparation or career technical programs with “high employment potential”. Apprenticeship programs prepare students for any profession, trade, or craft that are learned through a combination of supervised, on-the-job training with off-the-job formal education.  Los Angeles Trade-Technical College’s apprenticeship programs are intended for students who are indentured to learn a trade under agreement with the State of California Division of Apprenticeship Standards. The college various departments which include Transportation Technology, Language Arts & Humanities, Nursing and Allied Health, Physical Education / Health, Natural Science, Mathematics, Electronics and Computer Technology, Design and Media Arts, Culinary Arts, Community and Economic Development, Construction Design and Manufacturing, Library Science/Personal Development, Labor /studies, Learning Skills / ESL / ASL, Foster Care, Fashion,  English, Business Administration, Computer Information System, Computer Application & Office Technology and Behavioral and Social Sciences.

For the deserving students Los Angeles Trade-Technical College, provides financial aids in the form of low-interest loans, grants, scholarships, student employment or a combination of these available from various sources such as federal and state governments, institutional, and community organizations, as well as individual donors. Although it is expected that students and parents will make a maximum effort to meet the cost of education, financial aid is available to fill the gap between family resources and the annual educational expenses.  The scholarships are offered through Los Angeles Trade Technical College as well as several departments, foundation and community groups that are external to the college generally awarded on the basis of academic merit, leadership, talent, and/or community service.  The college also has Honors program that provides highly motivated students with an intellectually challenging educational experience designed to prepare them for a successful transition from community college to university. Los Angeles Trade-Technical College has online courses that provide the opportunity for students to take classes in a setting other than the traditional face-to-face classroom. Los Angeles Trade-Technical College also provides accessibility and accommodations to all disabled students, evening and weekend classes and Extended Opportunity Programs and Service (EOPS) to provide support services to eligible students.
