Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) is also formerly known as Gloucester County College. Gloucester County College is an educational form established in the year 1966 on the month of September. Located in Sewell, New Jersey United States, the college is a public, community college. Functioning with an endowment of US$1,915,171 which is used for providing scholarship to its students (2009) and budget of US$39,388,473 (2009) the college is currently working under the presidency of Frederick (Fred) Keating. Gene J. Concordia is the chairman of the Gloucester County College. The college holds 319 academic staff and 392 administration staff. The Gloucester County College shelters 9,782 students which includes 6,609 undergraduates and 3,173 other students (continuing education). The prestigious and historical Gloucester County College functions with a motto (Start Smart…. Go Far).

The electors of Gloucester County drafted an optional ballot in 1965, which called for the Board of Chosen Freeholders to establish an educational institution in the province. Gloucester County College’s existence was sketched for the first time in 1966 as soon as the New Jersey Department of Education accepted its contract.  The Gloucester County College sheltered its very first classes in Monongahela Middle School and Deptford Township High School in the summer of the year 1967. Instructional Center stands as the first erection possessed by the college.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography holds an accreditation of Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
