Located in Clemson, South Carolina, United States of America, Clemson University, is an American public research, co-educational land grant university and sea grant university. It was founded in 1889 by Thomas Green Clemson. In November 1889, then South Carolina Governor signed the bill, thus establishing the Clemson Agricultural College of South Carolina and was renamed Clemson University as the state legislature formally recognized the school's expanded academic offerings and research pursuits. has grown to become Texas's third largest university. Clemson University offers bachelor’s degree with over 80 majors and 75 minors, 110 graduate degree programs, research doctorates degree programs and special education programs and certificates. The University of Clemson homes five colleges. The College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences (CAFLS) supports Clemson University’s land-grant mission to provide education, research and service to the public. The College of Architecture, Arts, and Humanities (CAAH) immerses students in both the abstract and practical activities of human imagination, from architecture to communication, ethics to art through three schools: the School of the Arts, the School of Design and Building, and the School of the Humanities. The Emeritus College provides a means for emeritus faculty to stay connected to the University and support Clemson’s teaching, research and outreach missions. The Eugene T. Moore School of Education trains teachers, counselors and leaders for preschool through grade 12 schools, prepares counselors for community practice and higher education and prepares training and development specialists for business and industry through its undergraduate and graduate programs.Calhoun Honors College strives to enrich the educational experience of highly motivated, academically talented students by providing opportunities for study and research that are usually unavailable to undergraduates. The Graduate School offers more than 100 graduate degree programs in 85 disciplines on the college’s main campus and at sites such as Clemson at the Falls, the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research and the Clemson Architecture Center as well as some online/distance-learning programs.

The athletic teams are known as the Tigers and compete at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level (Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) sub-level for football), primarily competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for all sports since the 1953-54 season. The university provides several student services through Fike Recreation, The Underground, Brooks Center for Performing Arts, Center for Visual Arts, Student disability services, Redfern Health Center, Career Services, and many others.
