University of New Hampshire is a public research educational institution established in the year 1866. Located in Durham, New Hampshire, USA, the educational firm is currently functioning under the presidency of Mark W. Huddleston who is the 19th president of the university. Holding an endowment of $241 million the prestigious University of New Hampshire is functioning with the motto “Science, Arts, Industry”. The university holds 583 administration staffs with 11,942 undergraduate and 2,434 postgraduates’ students, and stands as the largest university of the state. Nicknamed as Wildcats this rural campus is affiliated by the University System of New Hampshire.

The existence of the university was sketched for the first time in 1866 under the name New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts in Hanover, New Hampshire in connotation with Dartmouth College. Benjamin Thompson came up with an idea of establishment of agricultural college. After his death the educational institution became public. On April 10, 1891 the college moved to Durham, New Hampshire. Gov. Fred Herbert Brown accepted a bill in 1923 changing the college’s name to University of New Hampshire.

The University shelters 61% in-state students, 38% out-of-state students, 2% international students. Among the total number of students it shelters, 57% are female and 43% are male. In the fall of 2012, 8% of its undergraduate students were minorities. The university has prepared a wide range of variation in its programs and curriculum.
