Minnesota School of Business is a for-profit educational institution established in 1877 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It various campuses hold the geographic location of Minnesota, Wisconsin and South Dakota, USA. The school sheltered around 10,000 students (in 2009). Minnesota School of Business was established in 1877 by Professor Alexander R. Archibald who worked for Dartmouth College. The existence of the college’s establishment was sketched when Professor Alexander with his assistant started the classes in bookkeeping, shorthand, English, and penmanship in a school comprised in three rooms in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The college stood by the name Archibald Business College for twelve starting years. In the year 1890, Charles T. Rickard and Grove A. Gruman bought the school and sold it to Correll and Kamprath families in 1929. After that the college’s geographic location was shifted to 24 South Seventh Street. Later in 1979 the school was moved to the Chamber of Commerce Building in Minneapolis. The college was again sold to ITT Educational Services in 1969 before being purchased by L. Myhre in January 1988. Today the college holds ten locations in Minnesota: Blaine, Brooklyn Center, EIK River, Lakeville, Moorhead, Plymouth, Richfield, Rochester, Shakopee and White Park (St. Cloud)
