Located in Hayward, California, United States of America, Chabot College is a public, two-year community college. It is the first college opened by the Chabot- Las Positas Community College District and opened for classes for the first time on September 11, 1961. It was established primarily to meet the needs of the East Bay's growing population. Chabot College awards Associate Degrees and Certificates. The students get to choose from 175 majors, and can receive over 60 different associate degrees and more than 35 certificate programs. The college also offers transfer programs. The Associate in Arts Degree (A.A.) is the most common degree granted.  The Associate in Science Degree (A.S.) has fewer general education units and is established to facilitate program completion in high-unit majors or in occupational majors that prepare their graduates to fill a need in the workforce. The divisions and academic program includes Applied Technology and Business, Arts and Humanities, Health, Physical Education and Athletics, Language Arts, Science and Mathematics and Social Sciences. The Business program offers degrees in Business, Accounting, Marketing, Business Management, and Retail Management. The certificates are available in various areas such as Human Resources Assistant, Accounting, Marketing, Health Care Management, Entrepreneurship, Real Estate, Retailing, Management and many others. Besides that, Chabot also provides academic pathways in Technical and career-vocational education programs, Transfer education programs to four-year universities, General education, Basic skills instruction, English as a second language programs, Community and continuing Education programs and Radio & Television Broadcasting.

In addition to providing quality education, Chabot College also makes sure that the students there have a thriving life and provides facilities necessary to ensure that. The college not only strives to enhance the academic experience through involvement in campus life but also support student to contribute to their educational mission, leadership strengths, personal growth, and a community contribution. The university encourages active student life with over 25 student clubs and organizations to choose from. It ensures that the students get to experience Greek Life through its sororities and fraternities. The College currently does not have any form of on campus housing available to students but provides food services. Chabot College has student services that provides numerous of programs and procedures through which assist the students in career planning & development, pursuing courses of study, obtaining financial aid & employment, and given an opportunity to participate in many different activities offered through Children’s Center, Counseling Division, EPOS , Dental Hygiene Clinic, Student Health Center, Disabled Students Resource Center and others. The university also encourages students to take part in physical activities with numerous group exercise programs and classes offered along with personal training. The college provides sports such as Soccer, Softball, Football, Volleyball, Wrestling, Basketball, Baseball, Swimming, Tennis, Track & Field and Golf. The soccer team, Bay Area Ambassadors has played at the Gladiator Stadium since 2009. Chablot College, in addition to its affordable fees, also provides various financial aid opportunities which keep it within the reach of every qualified student. The financial aid may be offered in many forms such as gift aid, grants, loans, student employment, fee waiver, EPOS and scholarships.  Besides these, the college has its own radio station called KCRH which is operated by the mass communications class at Chabot. The college also has a TV station, KCTH 27, the Educational access TV channel, KCMC 28 and 29 and Channel 99 as well. The station runs under Hayward on AT&T U-verse and is growing in programming and equipment.
