Community College of Vermont is a two year based community educational institution whose existence was sketched in the year 1970. Located (headquarter) in Waterbury, VT, United States, the prestigious Community college holds 12 sites across the state. Currently the college is smoothly functioning under the presidency of Joyce Judy and Timothy Donovan serves as a chancellor of the college. Community College of Vermont shelters 130 administrative staffs with 9000+ students. In the year 2008, the Community College of Vermont served programs in lowest cost per credit hour in the state. The college also sheltered second largest number of scholars within Vermont. Community College of Vermont is stands as the utmost lavish communal college in the United States. The college serves 17 associate degree programs and 11 certificate programs. The college has also included Assessment of Prior course in its working pattern. The state established the Vermont Regional Community College Commission in the year 1970. Peter Smith served as the first president of the institution. Vermont Regional Community College Commission was introduced in Montpelier serving 10 courses holding only 50 students. The Community College of Vermont was accredited by New England Association of Schools and Colleges in 1975, just after five years of its establishment. The prestigious college served its first online program named “Introduction to Political Science” in the year 1996.

The Community College of Vermont bought a building of the non-operational Woodbury College in Montpelier. Soon later in 2010 the Community College of Vermont constructed a new structure in Winooski Vermont where Burlington building stood before.
