Caleb Lee Hutchinson is an American country singer and songwriter best known as a contestant on American Idol.
After performing a Carrie Underwood song in the Top 5, he made it to the Top 3 on May 13th.
Other contestants include, Gabby Barrett, and Maddie Poppe.

He learned the skills at a very young age
Caleb has found a place in everyone’s hearts thanks to his thick country vocals and accent.
Though this might come as a shock, Caleb actually started singing when he was 9, playing the guitar at 12 and writing songs at 13.
His inspiration to be a country singer
A country singer by heart, he fell in love with the genre whilst riding around and listening to it on his father’s truck.
According to his audition, Caleb’s family were great listeners of music and his father used to listen to Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard.
He has lost some serious weight since his audition
When he first auditioned for the show, Caleb was quite fluffly and now he has lost more than 70 pounds over the course of the competition.
When Ryan Seacrest asked how, he said that he started drinking a lot of water and walked every night.

When his grandmother bought a karaoke machine when he was five, he was obsessed with imitating both Elvis and Cash.
